Orange works as an appetizer, cleanses the blood, eliminates windiness, soothes bile. It is beneficial in fever and cleanses the mouth. It gives strength to bones, destroys intestinal worms and useful in abdominal pain.

Orange contains water, iron, protein, fat, carbohydrates, phosphorus, calcium, sodium, copper, potassium, magnesium, sulphur, chlorine, vitamin A, vitamin B, vitamin C.

The vitamin C of the orange is protected by citric acid so it cannot be destroyed easily. The white membrane, which surrounds the sections of the orange is source of calcium. Orange is is alkali-forming food and improves resistance power of the body.

Orange contains large quantity of nutrients. If cold problem add hot water to orange juice before taking.

Benefits of Orange

To get rid of constipation take 2 oranges early morning on empty stomach and 2 oranges before going to bed daily. Oranges are beneficial in bronchial troubles and asthma.

Orange is beneficial for fever as supplies necessary nutrition to patient. It increase appetite and improves digestion. It also improves intestinal health and increase vitality. Orange juice gives relief to those, who suffers from vomiting.

A cup of orange juice is equal to three milk-cup and provides many calories. Food wont get digest properly in chronic dyspepsia. It  cause putrefaction in digestive system which results in producing gas. Orange is very helpful to eliminate putrefaction of food. It cleanses the tracts of the intestine and stomach, due to which digestive power of both the organs increases.

Home Remedies for Fever 

*Fresh apricot juice mix with honey and give it to patient. It quenches thirst and eliminates waste product from the body. It tones up the stomach, eyes, heart, liver and nerves. It supplies good amount of vitamins and minerals to the body.

*Lemon juice is an excellent Home Remedy for Fever. It is effective thirst quenching drink in measles, pox, scarlet and other fever disease. It is also useful for hot and dry skin.

*Make tea from fenugreek seeds and take daily till get rid of fever. It is soothing and cleansing drink.

*water in which green gram are soaked is marvelous home remedy for cholera, chicken pox, measles, typhoid, small pox and all other types of fever. It can be given in case of acute phase of appendicitis.

* Sugarcane juice is beneficial in fever. Sugarcane provides necessary protein and other food elements to the body.
