Ladoo – Mysore Pak Recipes

1. Ladoo

Ladoo Ingredients

Gram Flour                             100gm

Sugar                                       100gm

Soda Bicarbonate                  Small Pinch

Yellow Colour                         5gm

Cardamom                             Few as per requirement

Pistachio                                10gm

Water                                      50ml

Oil                                            30gm or as per requirement

Ladoo Method

Make a thick batter with gram flour and soda bicarbonate adding yellow color to it. Heat oil and through a perforated spoon drop batter. Fry for 2 minutes. With sugar and water prepare sugar syrup.  Fried boondi put into sugar syrup. Add crushed pistachio and cardamom and form into balls. Yummy ladoo ready to eat.

Now lets learn how to make Mysore pak (1) and Mysore Pak (2).There are two methods to make Mysore Pak. Both gives good taste. Try these recipes 🙂

2. Mysore Pak

Ingredients Mysore Pak

Bengal gram flour                               120gm

Cardamom                                           15gm

Sugar                                                     400gm

Water                                                   100ml

Fat (Dalda)                                           600gm

Method Mysore Pak

Boil fat in a pan and keep aside. By adding water Prepare sugar syrup of three-string consistency. Roast gram flour for 2 minutes in 50gm of fat, don’t allow it to get brown. Sprinkle a little water on the gram flour to test whether it roasted or not.

Add sugar syrup to the roasted gram flour and stirr well on low heat. stir the mixture continuousely and vigorously till the fat starts floating on the top. Remove from the fire and pour the mixture on to a tray. Allow mixture to get cool. After sometime keep tray in slanting position so that the excess fat is drained off. Crush cardamoms and cut into any shape or diamond shape.

3. Soft Mysore Pak     

Ingredients Soft Mysore Pak

Bengal Gram                                                 2 Cups

Sugar                                                              3 Cups

Fat (dalda)                                                     10 tbsp

Water                                                             For Syrup

Method Soft Mysore Pak

Put sugar in a pan and add a little water and boil till the syrup gets soft  ball stage. By sprinkling add flour over the syrup, stirr well continuously to prevent lumping. Heat the fat and add slowly at intervals. Stirr conytinuously, when the mixture moves round and does not adhere to the vessel remove from fire. Cut into diamond shapes while its hot. Lets get it cool. Soft Mysore Pak ready to serve. Cooking these recipes are easy. Isn’t it quick recipes?
